Sometimes I believe hues and values have more of an expressive quality than mere utterances of lines and phrases. Black and white sentences spit out onto pages struggle to compare to the emotional and visceral content that comes from an artist who pours out her imagination into a blank canvas. For centuries, men have tried to put into words or recreate that which can only be understood by seeing it: God's vast and beautiful creation. In the end, no matter how we try to reproduce it, it is not possible.
